I would just like to enquire on being a transfer student, into a higher semester.
Currently I'm attending an American Degree Program at Inti International College Subang (Malaysia) , and also in my second year, 6th semester (trhree semesters per year).
Therefore, I would like to asks whether is it possible for me, given my current academic situation, to transfer and continue my bachelors degree there in Germany?
Also, is there a language course (preparatory classes) that are offered by the university that I could enter in order to meet the language requirements?

1) Whether or not it is possible to apply for a higher subject semester depends on the degree program for which you wish to apply. If you tell me a specific degree program (see https://www.uni-hamburg.de/en/campuscen ... gebot.html), I will give you more detailed information. 2) Since, as I assume, you have not yet studied the degree program you want to apply for at a German university, it is also possible for you to apply for the first semester of the degree program.

3) Universität Hamburg may recognize coursework from previous studies if it is comparable to that required by your chosen degree program at Universität Hamburg. A recognition of previous coursework is possible in both cases (application for higher subject semester or application for first subject semester). In the case of an application for the first subject semester your subject semester might be adjusted afterwards according to the recognized coursework.
At Universität Hamburg, coursework is officially recognized only after you are enrolled. Some departments offer a non-binding evaluation of your previous coursework prior to your application. Formal recognition, however, will only take place after you have enrolled in the relevant degree program.
4) Please note that you have to prove your German language skills at the time of enrollment. Without proof of German language skills, it is therefore not possible to enroll at the Universität Hamburg. Some German universities offer the possibility to provide proof of German language skills during the first semester at a university. However, this is not the case at Universität Hamburg. 5) Universität Hamburg does not offer any preparatory German courses. If you are planning to come to Germany in order to learn German, you can find information about that on the website of the DAAD (German Academic Exchange Service): https://www.daad.de/en/study-and-resear ... -language/.
