Dear Madhur,

The German university entrance process differs from the one in India. If you have a 12-year secondary school leaving certificate or Pre-University Examination with 50% of the maximum score or better and successfully completed the Joint Entrance Examination (both parts, Main and Advanced) without additional periods of study, you qualify for direct subject-restricted admission. This allows you to apply directly to a German higher education institution for academic studies in the subject areas Technology and Natural Sciences. If you want to apply for a bachelor degree with a diffent subject area, admission to a German university will be more complicated. You can get an overview of your options in that case by using the DAAD database on admission requirements: https://www.daad.de/deutschland/nach-de ... =4&ebene=2 The cutoffs are not relevant for admission in Germany.

In any case, to apply to Universität Hamburg as an international applicant, you need to have your documents checked in a "preliminary documentation" procedure by uni-assist e. V. (University Application Service for International Students). uni-assist determines whether your previous educational qualifications permit you to start studying in your program of choice in Germany. Detailed information about this procedure is provided here: https://www.uni-hamburg.de/en/campuscen ... ldung.html

Since the bachelor programs offered by Universität Hamburg are taught in German, you need to provide proof of German language proficiency to be admitted. Detailed information about the level of German language proficiency required and about the certificates accepted by Universität Hamburg is provided here: https://www.uni-hamburg.de/en/campuscen ... nisse.html
