Bearbeitet Studies without Abitur/ Changing the degree

Beitrag von joan.wasser »

Dear Campus forum,
I am a first-semester student at the university. Last year I did the T course at the Studienkolleg. I have a C1 level in German. Nowadays I am studying physics. But I want to change my degree to Biologie or philosophy. I have the feststellungsprüfung based on science, mathematics, and informatics, and the school notes and State Exam of my country switched to "the german system". Can I change or make a double degree with my background, or do I have to take the test for the B and G course in the Studiuenkolleg?
Best regards,
Joan

Dear Joan,

It is not possible to apply for Biology (M) or Philosophy (G) with the subject binding T. You would have to take another assessment test (Feststellungsprüfung) for one of these courses. http://www.studienkolleg-hamburg.de/externe/ Please contact Studienkolleg Hamburg.

You can find a list of the study programs and their subject binding here: https://www.uni-hamburg.de/campuscenter ... rdnung.pdf

Thanks.
Just to be sure, there is no other way to study philosophy. Even if I decided to make a double degree with physics, right?

Dear Joan,

As I take it, you already study physics. Then there might be a way to study philosophy. Please contact me via https://www.uni-hamburg.de/studium. Please note that your email should be forwarded to me. We will see what we can do then.
