Dear Concern,
I have received a "letter of acceptance" for the degree program Master of Arts International Business and Sustainability in winter semester 2020/21. In the letter of acceptance it has been mentioned that "Universität Hamburg must receive your complete enrollment application by Juni 25, 2020 . This deadline is final; no extensions can be granted".

Now my question is, If i complete the enrollment in the above mentioned time and couldn't join winter semester 2020/21 due to Covid-19 pandemic, is it possible to start class from summer semester 2021? Or is there any opportunity to join online classes in winter semester 2020/21?

Please be informed, The German Embassy in Bangladesh is currently close until further notice, so there is no option to apply for a student visa at this moment.

Cordially requesting your suggestion on this unavoidable situation.

Dear Mr. Raihan,

I hope you are doing well during these difficult times. At the time of writing all Universität Hamburg lectures are online-only. We are hoping to shift back to face-to-face classes this fall. However, no final decision has been made for the winter semester 2020/2021. We will post updates as they become available on www.uni-hamburg.de/corona-faq.

While Covid-19 travel restrictions remain in place towards non-EU countries, you may take up your studies late in 2020 or early 2021. We do encourage all international students to participate in online classes whenever possible during this time.

Dear Mr. Immanuel Petermeier,

This is to inform you that, The German Embassy Dhaka wasn’t accepting online registration at the appointment list for student visa till 4th July 2020 due to Covid-19 pandemic. As soon as the online registration portal opened on 5th July, I registered for visa appointment on the same day. But as per the communication from The German Embassy Dhaka, the minimum waiting period to get the appointment will be 09 months. Also, they are highly discouraging any kind of inquiry in this regard. Here I would like to mention that, I have talked with the responsible person of The German Embassy Dhaka over telephone and informed him that University of Hamburg has issued a "Certificate of Entry" (received in the document section of STiNE) to physically attend in winter semester 2020/21, but they informed me that no special appointment will be given in any circumstances.

Please be informed, I have completed online enrollment in MIBAS program and already received Matriculation Number and new password for STiNE.

I am really worried in this current situation and don't want to miss the opportunity to be a part of University of Hamburg. Is there any opportunity that I could pay the semester contribution fee for winter semester but don't attend orientation and classes and physically join classes from summer semester 2021?

I am cordially requesting your suggestion and guidance in this regard.
