Change of name in university database

Hello,

I am currently in the process of legally changing my name in my home country (India). My name is quite long which makes it really inconvenient. Once the name change procedure is completed, I will
immediately change it on my passport. So if I change the name on my passport, can this change be implemented on all documents associated with the university as well?
