private health insurance

Dear Campus Center,

I am a freshman master student in UHH. I plane to come to Hamburg to November.
I am 24 years old but I would love to have a private insurance. I want to buy EDUCARE24 M tariff (https://www.educare24.com/benefits/overview) provided by DR-WALTER GmbH.

I contacted Hamburg Studierendenwerk Soziales und Internationales in matter to inquire whether EDUCARE24 is sufficient for Hamburg. They says, if I choose EDUCARE24 and they sign Appendix 6, the Aliens Department will accept it. But I also have to be sure that UHH recognize this insurance.

The questions now:
1. Is EDUCARE24 recognized by UHH?
2. From what date my insurance contract should start? In this forum I found information that my insurance has to start from my matriculation (about 02/11/2020) or the winter semester start (01/10/2020)
