I am a German citizen living in Bangladesh. I have recieved an admission to a masters program through the online application. The next step requires me to send a form which asks for proof of health insurance. Currently I do not have any health insurance. a) Do i need to purchase health insurance? b) does it have to be a german health insurance? c) what is my status as a german citizen in this case?

You do not need to send proof of health insurance now, since it is possible to submit your proof of insurance after arriving in Germany. Please note that you still need to send your other documents according to the checklist within the deadline noted in your admission letter.
