German Language Certificate

Hello,
Good time. I have just got admission in the master of Molecular Life Science which is taught in both English and German. I had submitted my IELTS certificate at the time of application but still do not received any German language certificate.
Would you please let me know by which time (maximum) I should submit my German language certificate? And may I know if it is possible to start the semester without the German certificate?
