I am writing to you to express my interest in applying to your esteemed university for the bachelor of medicine program.

I kindly want you to know that I have B2 level in German and currently studying C1, I have a university entrance certification (high school certificate) from a foreign country Libya, and I have studied two semesters(one general semester and one semester in the major) in English in Tripoli university in Libya.

I have studied the following subjects (Medical physics MP130, Anatomy AN120, Biochemistry BC120, Histology HS120, Physiology PS120) and (Statistics ST024, Chemistry CH023, Zoology ZO021, Botany BO027, Medical Terminology EL026, General Physics PH022).

Therfore I would like to know if it is possible for me to get a seat and start studying without having to take the studienkolleg.

Please do not hesitate to contact me if you require any further information or documents from my side.

Thank you for your time and consideration
I am looking forward to your reply.

Dear Haroun Zagmen,

I can't answer your question, sorry. Please submit an application for recognition of your educational qualifications obtained abroad. We will check your certificates and let you know whether they give you direct access to higher education or if you need to attend a preparatory course beforehand.

Information on the recognition of educational qualifications acquired abroad can be found here: https://www.uni-hamburg.de/en/campuscen ... ldung.html

To take up the study of medicine, you need German language skills at the level C1: https://www.uni-hamburg.de/en/campuscen ... nisse.html B2 is not sufficient - we do not issue conditional admissions. Unfortunately, we also do not offer German courses that prepare students for their studies. You will have to acquire the language skills on your own and then preferably take one of the language certificates, for which you will receive 15 bonus points.

You should know that international applicants are selected on the basis of bonus points. How to collect them you can find here: https://www.uni-hamburg.de/en/campuscen ... cht-eu.pdf
For the winter semester 2022/23, only applicants with 51 bonus points or more were admitted.

Here you can find all information for international applicants at a glance: https://www.uni-hamburg.de/en/campuscen ... hluss.html

Kind regards
