To whom it may concern,
I have a question regarding the health insurance proof that I have to give the university in order to enroll. I have already uploaded my documents and checked the enrollment file in my Stine account.
Since I have previously asked about the deadline for the health endurance, and the University answered me that I have more time than the 7- days - period deadline, I would like to ask if it is necessary to give the insurance company the university's Email address? If so, what is the Email address that I have to give them? Are the sender number of the University and the company number enough? Since from What I've gathered, the health company must contact the university electronically and inform them about my insurance.
Thank you for your attention.
Sincerely yours,
Dorsa Esfandiari
Dear Esfandiaridorsa1379,
1) If you have any questions about the information you must provide to your health insurance agency when submitting your application, you must ask them directly. However, you can assume that the health insurance agency will ask for the relevant information in its application form. If they specifically ask for an email address, there is no reason to suspect that this information is required.
2) "...the health company must contact the university electronically and inform them about my insurance."
Your statement refers to the "Elekronische Studenten-Meldeverfahren (ESMV)" ["electronic students notification processes"] - see www.uni-hamburg.de/kven.
This process doesn't involve any communication via e-mail. There is a direct connection between all public health insurance agencies and all universities in Germany. However, you do not have to worry about the technical details of this communication process, because all universities and health insurance agencies know how to communicate with each other.
Best wishes,
Thomas Walter
