Cancelling a Master

Good morning,

I have been accepted for the Master's Degree of Manuscript Cultures, but unfortunately due to a sudden health problem of my dad, I can't be in Hamburg in October.
I really wish it could be postponed for next year, because I wouldn't like to lose this opportunity.
Or could you please inform me what else could be done in order for me not to lose it?
If nothing can be done then what do I have to do to cancel it and until when, because maybe in a month I will have another solution.
