First of all, you should be aware, that Universität Hamburg offers first degree programs taught in German language only. A prerequisite for the study of a degree program taught in German at Universität Hamburg is that you are proficient in German at level C1 of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages. Another important step will be to check if your international degree will allow you to apply directly at an university or if you have to do Studienkolleg first. You can check it on your own at

For applicants from non-EU countries there is a special selection procedure. Applications are evaluated according to a bonus point system which you should follow should you want to acquire a place in the program of medicine. You can find more information here:
