Dear team,
I recently got accepted into the MSc Physics (English) program and I am an international student from India.
Regarding the enrollment process,
One thing that confused me a bit is that there’s a section asking for proof of German language skills. But as far as I know, the program is fully taught in English, and I didn’t think German was required—at least not for enrollment or attending classes.
Could anyone confirm if I actually need to submit a German language certificate? I have my English proficiency proof ready (I completed my bachelors in English), just don’t want to miss anything important.
Also regarding the English proficiency certificate, is the same document I gave during the application process sufficient (It was not a medium of instruction certificate but rather another official document from my university which mentioned the bachelors is being conducted in English) or are they looking for anything different during the enrollment procedure.
Thank You
Dear Yaad,
You do not need to submit German language proof as the program Physics is taught in English language only. The proof only refers to the named master's program in the check list. Please look at https://www.uni-hamburg.de/campuscenter ... master.pdf
The English certificate does not have to be submitted again at time of enrollment.
Best regards,
BK

Hello thank you for the reply.
So should I just leave the field for German language proficiency (as well as English) empty in the enrollment portal ? Or should I submit a placeholder pdf mentioning the program does not require German language ?

Dear Yaad,
You can leave it blank.
