I would like to apply for the first semester of a BSc (having completed high school outside the EU) but am unable to provide the VPD before the application deadline on the 15 of January as my results are first published on the 14 of January, so I am wondering if it is possible to apply without a VPD and then provide it later?

If you are applying for the first semester of undergraduate courses of study, apart from one exception (see below), you do not need to submit ANY documents.

Please check on the website linked above whether this exception is relevant to your application. Otherwise you do not need to worry. The preliminary documentation (VPD) has to be submitted at a later date for enrollment.
