Dear all,

I am an international PhD student at the faculty of Biology since 2019 from Suriname with matriculation number 7248109 and my promoter is prof. Kohl.
It was not possible for me to pay the summer semester fee of 2021 yet. Recently I ordered my Bank (Republic Bank of Suriname N.V.) to transfer the fee. They explained to me that there have been some changes in rules regarding international money transfer. The bank needs a short statement of the beneficiary, in this case the Hamburg University, regarding the following;
1. That I am doing a PhD study at the Hamburg University
2. The purpose of the money transfer (semester fee)
3. When the money has to be transferred each time (which months, in this April and September)
4. The amount of the money each time to be transferred (amount of the semester fee)
5. The period for how long the money has to be transferred (study period), I think I will finalize the study in 2022.

I hope that I have provided you with enough information to receive such a statement for the bank, so the summer semester fee can be transferred as soon as possible.

Unfortunately we cannot issue one of the listed certificates. Please try to submit your semester certificate from the winter semester 20/21, which contains all the relevant data about your enrollment at Uni Hamburg and the contribution notification (Beitragsbescheid) which can be found in your student account. Dear Madam/Sir,

As mentioned earlier due to changed rules fort international money transfer, of my bank it was not yet possible to transfer the summer semester fee of 2021. Today i have submitted the necessary documents at my bank.
The bank has already started the process of the money transfer. Within 2 day the semester fee money will be transfer a the account of the Hamburg University bank account. I hope that it will be possible for the enrollment of the summer semester 2021.
