i received my temporarily student ID and semester ticket just today .. i am asking about my eligibility for the " to be reimbursed for transportation costs arising in the period up until your semester public transport pass arrived"

It is possible under certain circumstances to receive a reimbursement for personalized tickets with the HVV. (see https://www.uni-hamburg.de/en/campuscen ... ml#4252720).
"Note: Reimbursement is not possible for PhD students enrolling during the semester." (https://www.uni-hamburg.de/en/campuscen ... ml#4252720)
"During the semester" means that if your application for enrollment was submitted no later than 4 weeks (which is our usual processing time for enrollment applications) before the start of the summer semester 2021, you might be eligible for a reimbursement.
We cannot guarantee the processing of the application for enrollment and the subsequent dispatch of semester documents if students apply later (i.e. after March 1, 2021 for a summer semester).
Therefore, if you submitted your enrollment application in our application portal STiNE before March 1, 2021 (please check the exact date in your STiNE account, if you are not sure), you may be eligible for a reimbursement of personalized weekly or monthly tickets you have bought. Please write to us via the Campus-Center contact form if you meet the requirement stated above so that my colleagues can check your eligibility.
