Dear Sir/Madam,

I am an international student from India and happy to receive the acceptance letter for MSc Physics (English), Winter semester - 2021 from the Universität Hamburg.

I have submitted my proof of English proficiency as a ‘University degree in an English language study program’. During the visa process, the German Embassy in India requests us to provide a line of confirmation from the Universität Hamburg stated that this course excludes IELTS or TOEFL if the medium of instruction of the previous degree program was in English.

May I kindly request you to send me a letter stating that my admission has an exception from IELTS or TOEFL as I have provided an English proficiency certificate from my previous University.

I have already contacted the department regarding this and they directed me here (Attached the mail).

I need a formal letter from Universität Hamburg stating that I am admitted to the course without English language exams, since the medium of instruction of my previous degree is English.

This is for my visa purpose please. Kindly help.

Since you submitted your proof of English language proficiency to the department, we cannot issue such a letter. But I contacted the department on your behalf, I am sure we will be able to clear up the confusion.
