Enrollment and Stine Registration Phases

Hello,
I am employed at the University whilst also studying for a Doctorate.
After applying for enrollment and sending all relevant documents through the Stine platform I have received two letters concerning how to register for courses. One is about logging into Stine saying that I need to activate my User ID and the other is about iTAN codes.
However, as I have been working at the University for some time I already have an activated User ID.
When I go back on the Stine page and click register, a message appears saying "Wrong ID or password" even though it was working when I had to send my documents and apply.
Is this because there is a registration phase that effects me being able to log into Stine?
Or is there something wrong with my account?
