English as a World Language

To whom it may concern,
I am an Iranian student, and have two questions regarding the application process of the Master's program English as a World Language. Since I'm Iranian, I am waiting for my documents to be translated by an authorised German translator, so I can post them per the application requirements.
After that, if I meet the requirements, I have to upload my documents in the online portal. Are the certified German translations of my documents by an authorised translator sufficient? Or should I get my documents legalised as well by the German Embassy (or Visametric) in Iran. (That process usually takes more than a week, that's the reason I'm asking this question. So I can manage my time and apply for the summer semester before the application deadline.)
I have another question regarding the application process as well. Is having a recommendation letter by my professors in Iran necessary for the masters degree 'English as a World Language' ? Or does it only count as a bonus?
Thank you for your attention.
Sincerely yours,
Dorsa Esfandiari
