To whom it may concern,

I have a question regarding the start of the lectures and classes of the major "English as a World Language". In my acceptance letter the beginning of the classes weren't mentioned, I have checked and they start at the 3rd of April, but I wanted to make sure, since the Embassy will ask for the exact written date for the beginning of the semester.

I also wanted to ask if it will be possible for me to arrive a few days late. The Visa Process in Iran may take a bit longer than other countries, and I wanted to make sure that there will be no problem regarding my late arrival.

1) The semester dates (beginning and end of the semester, the lecture period and breaks) are published on our website.

If you can foresee that you will miss the beginning of the lecture period, I recommend that you contact the academic office ("Studienbüro") of your department to discuss this organizational issue: https://www.slm.uni-hamburg.de/studium/ ... ml#2366422.
