Dear Frau/Herr

Hello my name is Doyeon Lee. I live in Republic of Korea, and  I have a plan for studying in Hamburg University for doctor's course. I finished my masters in Korea at 2019. My major was 'Sports medicine' but I want to study 'Sports biomechanics'. So, I think I should apply studying for master's course first.

So, I already search information about master's course, but I sill want to ask of something.

1. I finished masters in Korea at 2019, but I want to apply in master's course. In this case, just same with normal case? (for example, after finishing an bachelor degree,)

2. My bachelors major was not Sports science. but my 'degree conferred' is 'Master of department of physical education(Master)'. total earned creadit is 24, and I got total grade point average is 4.44 (4.5 is perect score). Actully I applyed 11 subjects, because I had not 'Bachelor degree for Sports'. so 3 subjects was prerequisite subject for me, and not included in my 'total earned credit'.

3. I have seen 'language condition', 'Test Daf C1 level'. It's still stands in Sports Science/Movement master course ?

I want to study in Hamburg University. So, I want to know that what I should prepare documents about something, or Can I apply in master course for Sports Scienc. and I want know that my conditions are agree with entrance conditions?(for example, 'total earned credit', 'total grade point average') I look forward to your reply.

Best regard.
Doyeon Lee

Dear Doyeon Lee,

1) It is important to understand that the individual departments, institutes and faculties of Universität Hamburg or other institutions are responsible for the admission requirements, selection criteria and application procedure for their master's programs. Please make sure you have read the specific application information for the program you wish to apply for: https://www.uni-hamburg.de/list-master.

Additional general application information for master's program for international prospective students can be found on the following website: https://www.uni-hamburg.de/en/campuscen ... aster.html.

2) I assume you are referring to the following master's program: M.A. Bewegungs- und Sportwissenschaft

The application information for this program, including the instruction for students with foreign degrees, can be found in the following document: https://www.uni-hamburg.de/onTEAM/studi ... schaft.pdf. Please note that an updated version of the applicaiton information will be published at the beginning of the next application period for this program )June 1, 2023).

3) "I have seen 'language condition', 'Test Daf C1 level'. It's still stands in Sports Science/Movement master course ?"

Yes. For all degree program of University Hamburg entirely or partially taught in German, the same admission requirement applies, i.e. German language skills at level C1 of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages: https://www.uni-hamburg.de/german-language. A list of all accepted language certificates is available on our website.

Best wishes,
