I am a doctoral candidate at the Institute of Geography. I am going on a field visit from 17th August 2023 to 30th November 2023. I want to sublet my STW Lokstedt room for that time period. I contacted STW Hamburg in this regard. And they asked me a permission letter from the University. I have already provided them a letter from my supervisor, but they are insisting on a letter from the University. Therefore, can someone help me here in getting the permission letter?

Dear Atul,

I am not sure about what kind of letter is required. I assume that the Studierendenwerk Hamburg needs a confirmation of your excursion. Therefore you should contact the academic office of your program.
