Innovation Business and Sustainability (MIBAS) M.Sc.

Dear Sir/Madam,

Myself, Sakshi Gupta, and I am interested in "Innovation Business and Sustainability (MIBAS) M.Sc." for winter term starting Oct 1st 2024.

I live in Hamburg since 2015 but originally from India and my whole education (schooling & university) was done in English. In addition, I have been working since the last 15 years in organisations having English as a business language.

Therefore, I want to ask if I still need proof like TOEFL or IELTS for my English language skills or if my education and experience certificates are enough to prove my English language skills?

Dear Sakshi Gupta,

Only the following tests (not older than 2 years) are accepted:

- Revised TOEFL Paper-delivered Test: at least 22 points per skill (Reading, Listening, Writing)
- TOEFL internet-based test (test-based scores): 92 points with at least 22 points per skill (listening, writing, speaking, reading)
- International English Language Testing System (IELTS) – Academic: Overall Band Score at least 6,5, (Good Competent User), with at least 6,0 per skill
- Cambridge Certificate of Advanced English (CAE)
- Cambridge Certificate of Proficiency in English (CPE)
- Cambridge Higher Business English Certificate (BEC)

I understand the approved English test certificates.


My question is: Since my whole 16 years of education plus 15 years of experience are in English language, do I still need to have English test certificates?

The master's program MIBAS does not accept other proofs than listed.
