My question is whether it is possible to apply to multiple departments at the University of Hamburg during the application process. I am currently studying BWL in my home country(Turkey), and I am planning to apply to the BWL program in Hamburg, but I am also interested in the Sozialökonomie program. Can I apply to multiple departments and then choose based on whether I am accepted or not? I am asking because I am not familiar with the process. Thank you for your attention.

Dear Oiku,
1) In principle, only one application per semester is possible at the University of Hamburg.
However, there is an exception for those degree programs whose applications are coordinated in the "Dialogue-oriented service procedure (DoSV)" (see https://www.uni-hamburg.de/en/campuscen ... /dosv.html).
This means that you can either apply for up to three DoSV degree programs or for one non-DoSV degree program.
As the degree program B.Sc. Betriebswirtschaftslehre and the degree program B.A. Sozialökonomie are DoSV degree programs, you can apply for both programs for the winter semester 2024/25.
2) Please make sure you have read our website for prospective international students, as you will find the relevant information for an application (deadlines, admission requirements, selection criteria, proof of German, recognition of foreign degrees, practical steps in the application process, etc.) there: https://www.uni-hamburg.de/en/campuscen ... hluss.html.
