I am interested in applying for the Master's program in IT Management and Consulting at the University of Hamburg. I have a few questions regarding the admission process:

I am currently enrolled in a German language course and have recently reached B1 level, but I do not yet have the official certificate. Is it possible to receive conditional admission based on my current language skills, with the understanding that I will submit the certificate later?
I graduated in July 2018. Does this affect my eligibility due to the waiting period for applicants?

1) The Master's degree program you mentioned, "IT-Management und -Consulting M.Sc." (https://www.uni-hamburg.de/onTEAM/studi ... ulting.pdf), is taught in German and therefore our general regulations regarding German language skills apply: www.uni-hamburg.de/german-language.

All degree programs at Universität Hamburg that are taught entirely or partially in German ("GER" and "GER/ENG" - see https://www.uni-hamburg.de/en/campuscen ... gebot.html) require German level C1.

Proof of German language skills must be provided upon enrollment (not at the time of the application!). Enrollment is not possible without proof of sufficient German language skills.

The University of Hamburg does not offer "conditional admissions" with regard to German language skills.

Therefore, all admitted applicants with a foreign degree must submit an accepted proof of German language skills (see https://www.uni-hamburg.de/en/campuscen ... #v-2907400) during the enrollment period of 7 days, which starts on the day you receive the letter of admission. It is not possible to submit the required proof after the enrollment deadline.

Only programs taught entirely in English (i.e. with the note "ENG" in the language field) can be studied without proof of German language skills: https://www.uni-hamburg.de/en/campuscen ... gebot.html.

2) "Does this affect my eligibility due to the waiting period for applicants?"

No. The regulation regarding the poof of German language skills have nothing to do with the selection base on waiting period quota.
