Last semester
I`m Jie, an MD student of Universitätsklinikum Hamburg-Eppendorf. I`m writting to consult that if I still need to register for the coming winter semester (2024-2025). I will defend in mid-September (16.09.2024) and then finish the study, so i want to know do I need to register for the 2024-2025 semester and pay for it? Thank you for your help!

The regulations for doctoral studies are not the same for all faculties at Universität Hamburg; each faculty has its own regulations.
You must therefore contact your faculty (https://www.uke.de/forschung/promotion- ... index.html) to clarify whether you still need to be enrolled in the winter semester.
If this is the case, regular re-enrollment by paying the semester contribution (see https://www.uni-hamburg.de/en/campuscen ... ldung.html) would be required.
