I am a PhD student from the Polytechnic University of Bari (Italy), and I will be spending a period at Universität Hamburg under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Ingenuin Gasser, Faculty of Mathematics, Informatics and Natural Sciences, Department of Mathematics—AM – Applied Mathematics.

I would kindly like to ask if it is required or advised for me to register or enroll to access services available for students, such as the canteen or university lodging.

In general, I would greatly appreciate any information related to administrative procedures I am required to fulfill.

I applied as a free mover days ago, I would like to be enrolled as fast as possible so I could apply for student housing (urgent to me) and then start working with Prof. Dr. Ingenuin Gasser who invited me in Hamburg.
Is it enough to point it out here or should I directly contact the personnel involved in the registration procedure to solicit responses?

For final enrollment it is still missing the notification about your healt insurance status. Please contact therefore your health insurance provider immediately to ensure the transmission of your insurance status to the University of Hamburg. The semester documents will then be available in your student account.

Hello,

I've sent a request to confirm my insurance status to three different agencies, none of them answered me. It seems that the system that you have at UH is quite inefficient, It's quite annoying that I have to wait weeks for a third party to give you my data.
I would ask you to accept EHIC diectly from me, attached with a letter where I allow you to treat my personal data, is that possible?
