Hello, University of Hamburg Campus center
I have a question which are related to applying for Bachelor's degree at University of Hamburg. I have finished one academic year in medicine at a higher education institution in Uzbekistan. I have a C1 in German language. I would like to apply for medicine or pharmacy field for bachelor's degree at University of Hamburg. Should I take FSP exam? Is my one academic year eligible for applying for University of Hamburg?
I highly appreciate your support and help
Best regards,
Maqsudjon

Dear Maqsudjon001,

these programs will be open for applications from 01. June until 15. July 2026 for the winter semester 2026/27 intake.
For applicants from non-EU countries there is a special selection procedure. Applications are evaluated according to a bonus point system which you should follow should you want to acquire a place in the program of medicine (or another program). For medicine it was necessary to have between 49 and 51 points (Pharmazie: 46-49) during the last 6 application periods: https://www.uni-hamburg.de/campuscenter ... cht-eu.pdf

You will find general information about the admission process in the following section of our website:
https://www.uni-hamburg.de/en/campuscen ... hluss.html

This table shows how bonus points can be acquired:

Generally, you need have foreign education certificates recognized in order to apply to Universität Hamburg. You can apply to have your certificates recognized for free in the Universität Hamburg application portal. Whether or not you will need a FSP (i.e. attend a Studienkolleg before applying) will be shown as a result of your application of recognition - it will show if you get direct or indirect admission to university.
