Hello, I am applying for a Master’s program and live in Pakistan. Due to delays in booking a German Embassy appointment, I might face delays in my visa process. If I apply for the Summer Semester, would it be possible to defer my admission to the next intake if needed?

A deferment of your admission is not possible. If you are facing a delay, you need to contact the respective faculty and ask for the possibility of late arrival. The contact can be found at the end of each applictaion information: https://www.uni-hamburg.de/en/campuscen ... itere.html
Please be aware: A late arrival means that you still need to enroll and your enrollment still starts in summer semester 2026 but you start your lectures after arriving. That would mean, you’d still have to pay the semester contribution even though you are not here.
