Bearbeitet Question about English Language Proof for M.Sc. PEP
Dear PEP Admissions Team,

I am preparing my application for the M.Sc. in Politics, Economics and Philosophy programme and have a question regarding the English language requirement.

The current admission guidelines state that a GRE General Test is mandatory. I would like to kindly clarify if this is now the only accepted method to demonstrate English language proficiency.

My question arises because I have already obtained an IELTS Academic certificate with a score of 7.5 (CEFR C1) during my preparation for graduate studies. I would be very grateful to know if this high-level certificate could be considered to fulfill the English language requirement.

Could you please confirm whether:

1. The GRE is now the only accepted proof of English proficiency, or

2. A high-level IELTS certificate could still be considered as an alternative?

I am of course prepared to take the GRE if it is strictly mandatory, but would be very grateful for clarification.

For your reference, I have my valid IELTS Test Report Form (TRF) ready and can provide the details or a copy upon request.

Thank you for your time and assistance.

Best regards,
Aleksandra Kaigorodova
