Erasmus+ Summer Research Internship / Lab Opportunities

Dear members of the University of Hamburg community,

My name is Oğuz Özbal, and I am a Computer Science & Engineering student at Sabancı University, Turkey.

I am writing to inquire about potential research internship opportunities for the upcoming summer within the Department of Informatics. Having previously completed an exchange semester at TUHH (Hamburg University of Technology), I am already very familiar with Hamburg’s academic landscape and eager to return to the city to contribute to a research project at University of Hamburg.

I am a recipient of the Erasmus+ Traineeship Grant, meaning my internship would be fully self-funded.

Could anyone advise on the most effective way to approach research groups or professors for a summer placement? If you are aware of any labs currently open to interns, your guidance would be greatly appreciated.
