Dear team,
I am an international student interested in the b.sc. in Earth System Physics (Englsh-taught). The program page outlines the entry requirement to have a proof of English proficiency, as expected.
However, on another page I saw this page
https://www.uni-hamburg.de/en/campuscen ... hluss.html
saying all ''If you are admitted to study at Universität Hamburg, you must prove sufficient knowledge of the German language...'' under the ''Certificate attesting to German language proficiency'' section.
I am a bit confused by it. Does it mean I have to provide a German language proficiency proof, even if I am to study a fully English-taught program? The page mentions no exception for this case.
Could you kindly clarify the matter?
Hello nahid_mortuza,
The bachelors's program Earth System Physics is currently the only bachelor's program at Uni Hamburg taught entirely in English language. German language proficiency is not required. When applying for other bachelor's programs, German language certificate has to be submitted at time of enrollment.
Best regards,
BK
