Confirmation of VPD application

Hi. My name is Anju.

I am planning to apply for MSc Integrated Climate System Sciences at University of Hamburg for the Winter Semester 2026/27 intake.

From this link https://www.uni-assist.de/tools/check-hochschulzugang. I checked the requirements answering questions
(i) Country of origin of your certificate?
ii) Choose your certificate and answer some country-specific questions.
I have Bachelors degree (3 years) and a Masters (2 year)

This was the message I received "With your previous education, you have direct general access. This allows you to apply directly to a German university for a study in any subject."

Could you please confirm if I still need to obtain and submit a Preliminary Review Documentation (VPD) along with my application, given this direct access confirmation? Or is the portal statement sufficient for proceeding with the full application?

If you obtained your first degree abroad, your certificate will be reviewed during the application procedure in the faculty of your program. Since your school leaving certificate is not needed to apply for this programs, you do not need a VPD.
