Dear CC-Forum Uni Hamburg,

I hope this email finds you well.

I am interested in applying for the Master's programme in Physics. While reviewing the admission requirements, I noticed that one of the accepted forms of proof of English proficiency is: "Proof of English proficiency at level B2 of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages through a course at a recognized institution."

I would like to ask whether certificates of successful completion of a CEFR B2 English course from the following institutions would be accepted as sufficient proof of English proficiency for admission to the programme:
-British Council
-Cambridge English authorised preparation centres
-EF Education First
-Berlitz
-Open English
-Other officially recognised language institutes accredited to teach according to the CEFR...

Or is it necessary to submit an official language examination certificate such as IELTS, TOEFL or Cambridge English (FCE/CAE), regardless of the institution where the course was completed? I'm asking this as I'm currently enrolled at B1 online course in Colombia that works under the CEFR guidelines and would like to know if the completion certificate I'll receive once I've finished with the next B2 online course is acceptable for this application (be it any language (online) institution with a CEFR program).
I would greatly appreciate a clarification on this, as this information will help me choose the most appropriate English course before submitting my application.

Please verify independently whether the proof complies with the level B2 of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages.
