My name is Eduardo Cifuentes, I am from Colombia and I’m interested in studying Medicine in your esteemed university. In this moment I am in second year of Medicine in Colombia, but taking into account that my mother, her husband and my sister, are living in Germany, in Hamburg, I had the opportunity to go there and know this great country. Therefore, I realized that there are better opportunities for me in Germany in order to be a very good doctor with a qualified education and to serve in a better way the community.
Therefore, please can you inform me which are the requirements to get the admission to the faculty of medicine, the deadlines and all the related information.

To apply to Universität Hamburg as an international applicant, you need to have your documents checked in a "preliminary documentation" procedure by uni-assist e. V. (University Application Service for International Students). uni-assist determines whether your previous educational qualifications permit you to start studying in your program of choice in Germany. uni-assist requires your high school diploma and aditionally all documents from previous studies.
Please notice that Universität Hamburg offers first degree programs taught in German language only. A prerequisite for the study of a degree program taught in German at Universität Hamburg is that you are proficient in German at level C1 of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages. Information about the German language skills necessary for studying at Universität Hamburg, the language certificates accepted by Universität Hamburg and about the option to hand in your language certificate later can be found here: https://www.uni-hamburg.de/en/campuscen ... nisse.html.

The application for medicine program is only available for a winter term, so the next possibility to apply for medicine will be 1st June till 15th July 2018.
Please notice that applicants with a non-EU citizienship have to apply directly at Universität Hamburg for medicine. The selection will be made through a bonus point system.
