Serbian Health Insurance Proof

Dear Sir/Madame,
I have a question regarding the proof of health insurance needed for enrollment into International Master’s Program (specifically Politics, Economics and Philosophy master’s program). Since my country of origin is Serbia (a Yugoslav successor state), is proof of having Serbian Public Health Insurance, issued by the Institute for Public Health Insurance, acceptable for enrollment into the University of Hamburg? As I can see in this information sheet on page 7 (https://www.studierendenwerk-hamburg.de ... 1521199162) Serbian Public Health Insurance (Serbian “GKV”) should be sufficient for enrollment. Also, if this proof is acceptable, should I admit it upon my arrival to Germany or do I have to send it by mail immediately together with the other documents required for enrollment (or am I required to do both)?
Once in Germany I will have to, as far as I understand, acquire German Public Health Insurance, for needs of finalizing my University enrollment. Is this correct?
Thank you for your answers.
Sincerely,
Gavrilo Marčetić
