Since, the time I have received the admit, I am applying to hostel accommodation on suggested links at Universitat Hamburg website. But till now I am unable to get any luck and I am really worried how to secure a place at least for short term. My requirement is to at least get a place for 3- 4 months from the time I land in Hamburg so that I can search and apply for Hostels at Studierendenwerk for a long term place.
Getting a place apart from Studierendenwerk is both risky and equally difficult especially when applied from abroad like from India.
I enquired with the Prospective student of TUHH and they said they have got the admit well in advance like in March/April and then they also got some help from the contacts of TUHH with Studierendenwerk. I am not really sure about the credibility of this information and also I am not sure if this is applicable with UHH as well.
Can you please suggest if there is a separate quota/ reservation/facility for international students available at least for short term. ? If possible for long term, nothing like that. Any clue in getting a place would be very helpful and reliving .
