Greetings!
I have some questions regarding the Matriculation application. I was following the instructions from the video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9RgJDRYiE9U which is from 2016, and I noticed that the form is a bit different. First, in section 2, should I write "Venezuelan" in the nationality item or should I write the international plate number associated with the country of which I'm a citizen? Second, just to verify, I can leave section 4 in a blank for now until I get health insurance, right? Third, in section 5, how should I convert my grades from my last degree? The grading system is different, as I obtained my degree in Venezuela. Also, in section 5, I'm not familiar with the license plate numbers. If I understand correctly, I should fill only the third cell with a letter corresponding to my country, Venezuela, right? Fourth, in section 6, I haven't enrolled at Hamburg University before, should I leave the Matrikelnummer empty? Fifth, in section 7, my degree structure consisted of 15 trimesters, not semesters, and were part of a BSc degree in Physics. Each year of the study consisted of 3 trimesters. I don't see a comprehensible way of filling section 7 because of this. Sixth, in section 8 part A, should I write the date in which I obtained my degree or the date at which I presented the undergraduate thesis (last examination). There were 3 months of difference between these two events. Finally, in section 9, should I add the city in which I'm signing the application or not? Also, should I sign both lines?
Thanks in advance and sorry if I have too many questions!
Dear Luis4to,
I won't answer your questions in detail, since you cannot make any mistakes in the application which could lead to problems with your enrollment. Just fill out the application according to your best knowledge and hand it in in time and everything will be fine with your enrollment.
A few notes:
1. For verification: You can leave the section about health insurance blank. You can also leave the field requiring a Matrikelnummer blank.
2. Don't bother with converting your grade - just put 9,9 in the field. The faculty you applied with has already converted your grade.
3. Just list the trimesters instead of semesters in section 7.
Best regards,
Birte Schelling
