May I introduce myself; my name is Dima Depp. I have recently graduated from the faculty of pharmacy of Tishreen university in Latakia, Syria. I am keen on pursuing further studies and I find your university programs quite interesting. But the problem is that I do not have a German language certificate yet. However, I have a TOEFL pbt certificate with a score of 600/667, but unfortunately I did not know that the deadline for the international program was on 31.03.2017. I would like to ask if I can get a conditional admission and is there any special steps I should follow to get it?

Dear Ms Depp,
Universität Hamburg does not offer conditional admission for international students not fulfilling the German language requirements. If you want to apply for a winter semester though, there is a possibility to get admitted even if you are unable to provide proof that you have passed one of the required language exams by the commencement of the semester (by 1 October). In that case you have the option of registering for the TestDaF exam in September (registration starts in July) or for a DSH exam at a German university which will issue your test results at the latest by 31 October. For that option you have to submit proof of your registration for the TestDaF September exam or the DSH exam by 1 October with your matriculation application. If you are not able to provide test results by 31 October your admission will be cancelled.
In addition, there are a few master programs taught in English which you can apply for during the current application period. If you tell me which prgrams you are interested in, I can tell you whether an application during the current application period is possible.

The application period for the program Molecular Plant Science indeed ended on March, 31 2017. So you will have to wait for next year's application period to apply.
