Bearbeitet Insurance
I apply for an insurance cover with AOK and received a certificate saying that 'ist nicht versicherungspflichtig, da das 30. Lebensjahr uberschritten ist. However, in 'Immatrikulationsantrag' states that 'enrollment application cannot be processed unless you submit proof of insurance coverage.

The insurance confirms that the insurance certificate sent me needs my German university to enroll me
and insisted that I pass on the certificate to the university.

I would appreciate if someone could verify the document for me.

Re: Insurance
Dear Kwanhatai,

When enrolling, in addition to your application you need to submit a proof of health insurance coverage. The certificate issued by the insurance company is not sufficient for enrollment.

Further Information about health insurance when enrolling can be found here:
https://www.uni-hamburg.de/en/campuscen ... erung.html

For international students, who have already reached the age of 30 at the beginning of their studies in Germany, there is generally no longer any possibility of insuring themselves in statutory health insurance in Germany. Only a private health insurance can be completed. We recommend comparing the contributions and benefits of the different agencies. You will receive advice on this by Studierendenwerk Hamburg "BeSI": https://www.studierendenwerk-hamburg.de ... tung/BeSI/

Best regards,
BK
