Proof of Health Insurance

Hello Sir/Madam,

I am Akshay Patil from India. I have submitted my Enrollment Application for Masters Program starting in Winter Semester 2018/19.

I am taking Travel Insurance from Bajaj Allianz General Insurance Co . Ltd for my Visa Procedure.

But I will also need Health Insurance to Complete my Enrollment in the Masters program.

So, I wanted to know if I can get Insured from Bajaj Allianz General Insurance Co . Ltd because it is a joint venture between Bajaj (Indian Company) and Allianz (which is a German private Insurance Company) to complete my Enrollment under the Private Health Insurance Scheme (Private Krankenversicherung, PKV) .

However, I want to get it approved from the University before I apply for it.

Dear Mr Patil,

Travel health insurance does not provide sufficient coverage for the duration of studies in Germany. Therefore, please do not take out travel health insurance for your stay. International students who are currently living abroad and do not yet have valid health insurance in Germany, can submit proof of health insurance following arrival in Germany. If you need to prove that you have health insurance in order to apply for a visa, you can take out a provisional policy for the first three months of your stay. Once you arrive in Hamburg, you can take out a full policy for the length of your stay.
