Hi,
I just recently finished my A Levels and wanted to apply for my Bachelors to the University of Hamburg. I wanted to choose the course East Asian Studies with a focus on Sinology. I just wanted to know if it would be possible for me to apply for the course. Also alongside this I wanted to take my minor subject as Psychology. Could someone kindly tell me if this would be possible. If so, what all should I do to enroll myself for this course.
Thank you for your time.
Dear Vaishali,
The combination of East Asian Studies with a focus on Sinology with the minor in Psychology is possible.
To apply to Universität Hamburg as an international applicant, you need to have your documents checked in a "preliminary documentation" procedure by uni-assist e. V. (University Application Service for International Students). uni-assist determines whether your previous educational qualifications permit you to start studying in your program of choice in Germany. Detailed information about this procedure is provided here: https://www.uni-hamburg.de/en/campuscen ... ldung.html
Since the bachelor programs offered by Universität Hamburg are taught in German, you need to provide proof of German language proficiency to be admitted. Detailed information about the level of German language proficiency required and about the certificates accepted by Universität Hamburg is provided here: https://www.uni-hamburg.de/en/campuscen ... nisse.html
If you are from a non-EU country, you can improve the odds of getting a study place by collecting bonus points for your application. Information about that opportunity is provided here: https://www.uni-hamburg.de/en/campuscen ... ml#2907387
