Hello,
I am Murali Krishna and I am enrolled as a doctoral student in Physics. I moved to Berlin for my new job and I forgot to pay the semester fee for the winter semester 19/20. The university must have sent a letter to my old Hamburg address and since I don't live there anymore, I didn't receive any. I would like to pay the semester fee and I know that it comes with a late fee. Please provide me with the information regarding the late fee. And I don't want to pay for the semester ticket. So please tell me the procedure and the amount.
Thank you so much and have a nice day!
Related to the above post, If I do not want to take the students semester ticket for the public transport in Hamburg, then I can pay only 11.70 + 85.00 + 50.00 (regular fees except) + 30.00 (late fee) = 176.70 Euros?
Dear Mr Krishna,
As you already found out, the late fee is 30 Euro. But you can't just pay the contribution partly without the costs of the ticket. You have to pay the contribution in full to get enrolled again. After that, you can apply for reimbursement of the costs for the ticket with Studierendenwerk Hamburg: https://www.studierendenwerk-hamburg.de ... terticket/ I am sorry that the form is only available in German. If you have questions regarding how to fill the form, please ask the Studierendenwerk directly: semesterticket[at]studierendenwerk-hamburg.de
Best regards,
