I have recently arrived in Hamburg. Currently, I am a stipendium for the month of September and on the 1st of October my PhD contract starts.
Could you please let me know how and where I can buy a month pass (profi card I guess) for public transport in Hamburg as a stipendium?

Dear Nidhi Joshi,
If you will be enrolled as a PhD student for winter semester 2020/21, you will receive a student public transport pass which is valid from October 1 until March 31. Neither can we issue any tickets valid before that, nor are there special public tranport passes for future students. So you will have to buy a regular ticket for September.
