I am a freshman international student in MSC Economics and still have not received the final enrollment certificate. I deposited the fee nearly 3 weeks ago and have met all prerequisites as far as I am concerned. Hopefully this is normal. My matriculation number is 7373434

Final semester documents can be sent only when all required documents for enrollemt have been submitted. According to our system, you still lack proof of your health insurance. Send this via the contact form for personal inquiries, please. If you already have a German address, you can also provide it using the contact form.

Hi thanks for your response. As Economics courses are being taught online and I'm not required in Germany immediately, I have not applied for insurance yet. In earlier communication with the university as well, I was told I will not be required to provide insurance information until I arrive in Germany - which will most likely be in January or February. Please let me know what I am supposed to do here.

What do you need the semester certificate for? For visa issues you can use the confirmation letter that is available in your STiNE-account under "documents", too. The proof of health insurance can be submitted later on after arriving in Germany but you will not receive the semester certificate as long as the proof has not been submitted, as this is the only way to complete your enrollment.
However, if you inform us in an informal letter through https://www.uni-hamburg.de/en/campuscen ... enter.html that you are starting your studies in the first semester in your home country, we can complete your enrollment. We then do not require proof of health insurance. No semester documents are issued either, with the exception of the semester certificate.
