Uni-assist MIBAS documentation.

To Whom It May Concern,

I have a question regarding submitting documentation to Uni-assist.

According to the Universität Hamburg I need to provide the following documents:

1. Current transcript of records
2. Written justification of choice
3. Curriculum Vitae

While I do understand that I have to send my current transcript of records to Uni-assist, do I also have to send them the written justification and the CV? Or can I submit these two documents at a later date when the application period officially begins after the 15th of February?

Dear Daniel Tomala,

first of all, the application procedure for the master’s program in International Business and
Sustainability is an online procedure. This means that you do not need to submit any
documents in paper form to Universität Hamburg.

Instead, you have to upload them during your online application available on Universität Hamburg’s application portal (STiNE) during the application period (15.2. - 31.03.): www.uni-hamburg.de/online-application

Please create a user account, enter your information online, upload the required documents to
your online application and submit your application electronically.
Selection is based on the information you provide online and the documents you upload online.

These are the documents you need to upload:

Degree certificates, including a Transcript of Records (or equivalent)
If you are still studying when you apply and cannot yet provide a final certificate
containing your grades, please submit your current Transcript of Records confirming
your provisional grade point average. You will then need to submit your degree
certificate by the end of the first semester of your master’s program

In case of foreign education qualification: preliminary review documentation (VPD) from uni-assist

Written justification of your choice of degree: Please justify your choice of program
based on the points listed on the program’s website:https://www.wiso.uni-hamburg.de/studien ... ation.html

Proof of English language skills

Curriculum Vitae (CV) (in English)

You have to upload your documents within the uni-assist online application form.
Please submit the following documents to uni-assist with your application:

your secondary school certificate

if available, your higher education admissions exam

if available, your university transcript

certified translations of all of your documents, in case they were not issued in German or English language

The written justification as well as your CV are not part of the documents you submit to uni assist. Please upload them exclusively as part of your online application at STiNE.

I have one more question.

I assume the "secondary school certificate" refers to my high school diploma, is that correct? I just want to make sure, since this requirement is not listed on your website.

Dear Daniel Tomala,

that is correct, but my colleague informed me that sending in school certificate for your MIBAS application is optional. However, it is indispensable to send a certificate of the first university degree or, alternatively, a transcript of records with the current average grade.

uni-assist checks your university certificates and veryfies whether your educational qualification is recognized for starting a Master’s program in Germany. Furthermore, uni-assist converts your grade point average (GPA) into the German grading system.

In case you have not yet finalized your first degree or you did not yet receive your degree certificates, please send your current transcript of records including your GPA to uni-assist.
