Bearbeitet International health insurance certificate
Hello,

In order to complete the registration for the Master in mathematical physics, I have to provide a health insurance certificate. Given that I am an international student and the semester is going to be online I stayed in my home country. Is the health insurance certificate that I currently have in my country a valid one? Do I need to present a certified translation?

Best regards, A.
Re: International health insurance certificate
Dear andresd.gomez,

It is possible to submit your proof of valid health insurance upon your arrival in Germany.

If you plan to study remotely, you can be exempted from an insurance obligation in Germany during this summer term. For this option, please submit a written declaration (provided as a separate document) that you do not plan to enter Germany during the 2021 summer semester (April 1 - September 30, 2021) via the following contact form.

Should you enter Germany at a later date during the 2021 summer term, you will have to submit a European Health Insurance Card or to take out German health insurance. Additionally, it could be necessary to pay subsequently for the insurance policy in the previous months of the semester (beginning with April 2021). All decisions on this matter are made by your prospective insurance agency.

If you wish to study remotely, it might be helpful to contact the academic office of the Department of Mathematics. The responsible program coordinator can help you to organize your studies accordingly and provide your with information regarding registration for courses.

Kind regard,
