Admissions for B.Sc in Economics for winter semester

Greetings,

My name is Sushmit Sharma, I'm from India and was willing to apply for the winter semester course for B.Sc in Economics.

Although, I understand that the deadline dates for admissions have been further extended to 31st July, I was wondering whether that the same deadline extension applies to the International Students as well.

For your information, I already have completed a BA(Hons.) degree in Hotel Management from University of Huddersfield, United Kingdom and would like to learn furthermore about the subject of economics, thus I am looking to apply for it at this university.

The extended application deadline of July 31 applies to all prospective students who want to apply for the first semester of a bachelor's degree program or state examination programs and have to apply directly at Uni Hamburg, regardless of their nationality.

Thank you for the prompt response,

However, I would like to know that would I be required to provide a proof of German language proficiency, considering that the language of instruction for the course (B.Sc in Economics) is shown as German/English.

Does that mean that the course is provided in English and German or is the course taught in either of the languages?

Dear Sushmit,

The bachelor's program Volkswirtschaftslehre is taught in German and English language. All prospectice students with foreign university entrance qualification have to submit proof of sufficient German language at the latest on November 1st.
