Reimbursement for semester public transportation pass contribution

Hi,
I enrolled for Winter semester 21/22 last week and received my semester certificate today. However, i wanted to apply for Reimbursement for semester public transportation pass contribution as I am away for a research trip for 3-4 months and won't be using my hvv ticket. How do I process my refund? I am not able to see any kind of contact information/application form to initiate this. Please let me know.

Generally, it is possible to apply for reimbursement of the transport pass costs by "Studierendenwerk Hamburg", organization affiliated to our university. Unfortunately, you have missed their application deadline for winter semester 2021/22 (September 30, 2021).

Their application form is still online. If you wish, you can try to apply subsequently. Click on "Deutsch" in the upper right corner and change the language, after that click on "Application for refund". If you have your ticket refunded, it will not be possible to provide it again in the winter semester 2021/22.

The application link was working so I have sent my application already. However, I wanted to ask you if I should already send my semester ticket by postmail? I have not heard back from them yet. Thank you again!

please only return your semester documents if you are requested to do so in order to make sure that your application has really been accepted.
