Greetings
i would like to enquire about the Economics program offered by the university . I completed my International General Certificate of Secondary Education (IGCSE) qualification in 2022 and would like to apply for the bachelors degree.

I do not know german but I am willing to study to a level that is required for entry.

Does the preparatory programme allow me to advance into a bachelors degree?
Is the economics programme completely taught in english or will some part be in German?
I will be doing a foundation year in the UK, will that be equivalent of a foundation year in Germany?

(will it be possible for me to be proficient in German until a bachelor level entry requirement but still have only an IGCSE qualification? without doing a foundation year)

The bachelor's program Volkswirtschaftslehre (Economics) is taught in both languages: German and English. The concrete language of the courses will be announced at the beginning of the course. Therefore, a certificate of very good German language proficiency (Level C 1) has to be submitted at time of enrollment. A proof of English language proficiency is not required.

Please check the evaluation of your foreign educational qualification via the DAAD database, first.

To apply for Studienkolleg (preparatory course) you already need good German language proficiency which has to be prooved by submitting a certificate.
